The application is designed to operate in the Authority Enterprise Wide Solution environment, sharing information as appropriate with all of Council’s corporate systems. This approach ensures there is no duplication of data, with important facilities such as the organisational structure being shared across all Authority functions.
In concert with Authority Payroll and related applications the HR application enables complete employee life cycle management from recruitment, through all phases of career advancement, to termination. Full employee and manager self-service kiosk facilities are also available that enable effective web based management of HR business processes.
Comprehensive security facilities incorporated within the application ensure transaction and management information is delivered in a timely manner to the appropriate personnel.
The application leverages the functions provided by the powerful Authority workflow engine to reflect Council’s procedures and can easily be adapted by Council over time to reflect changing business and human resource management requirements.
The Authority HR application incorporates facilities to enable the automated generation of Microsoft Word documents via Council defined standard templates. These and other documents, may be automatically profiled to Council’s document management system. All documentation regarding an employee or transactions affecting the person are accessible directly from the Authority HR enquiry forms.
