The Authority Land Information Systems (LIS) Application provides a broad range of facilities that enable local authorities to manage the many relationships between local authorities and people and the land within their area. Incorporated in the application are comprehensive facilities that enable the effective management of the key revenue streams of local authorities across areas such as Rating, Water Billing & Debtors.

The Land Information modules are designed to interact seamlessly with the broader Authority Enterprise Application suite that incorporates Financials, Asset & Infrastructure Management, Customer Request Management, Electronic Documents & Records Management, Human Resources, Payroll, and Executive Management software applications.

The Authority application is designed specifically for Local Government and the inherent single database design eliminates duplication of data throughout the enterprise application. This delivers real time processing of transactional information providing accurate and timely data that enables informed decision making.

The Land Information system provides the flexibility that allows users to define the business processes they require in managing the ongoing change in the use of land as driven by local development. Authority maintains a full history of all interactions between council, its officers and land transactions. Supporting the effective management of this land information are full document management facilities that include the ability to generate documents where required in a business process and to automate the profiling of these documents to the corporate document management system.

High levels of customer service are delivered by enabling a local authority’s customers to interact seamlessly with the organisation 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, using the Authority e-Services transactions. Customers can lodge requests, make payments, apply for and obtain certificates, lodge applications and access details of their interactions with the organisation. These facilities interact directly with the Authority Enterprise application and enable fundamental changes in business processes that deliver significantly more effective outcomes to both the customer and the local authority.
